Dear Chespumped FK Youth Management,
I am writing to formally express my deep concern regarding the expulsion of my son, Jahnie Beqs, from Chespumped FK Yuth U9 “The Badgs” by Mr. Ton Piqlet. This action appears to have been taken without justification, due process, or prior dialogue, which I find both deeply troubling and contrary to the principles of fairness expected of an organization like Chespumped FK.
Jahnie has been a member of Chespumped FK. U8 Badgs since October 2023. At that time, he was, in my assessment, a developing player. However, through exceptional enthusiasm, discipline, commitment, and hard work, he improved significantly and was awarded the “Manager’s Choice Award” by Mr. Piqlet at the end of the season—an accolade that highlighted his progress and dedication.
Given this acknowledgment of Jahnie ’s growth, it would be reasonable to expect that he would have been considered for opportunities within “The Ampers” teams or at least offered trial matches to assess his potential further. Unfortunately, this has not occurred. Instead, we have observed that opportunities are being extended to players with less tenure at the club while existing members of the U9 “The Badgs”, such as Jahnie, have been overlooked without explanation.
It is worth noting that Jahnie has consistently demonstrated his dedication to football, including training with professional clubs during our family travels to Germany and the Czech Republic. His performances abroad have been lauded by multiple coaches, and he has received awards, such as Player of the Tournament, further validating his abilities.
Despite these efforts, it seems that external factors unrelated to football performance are influencing decisions within the team. Reports from other parents suggest that team selections are influenced by personal relationships or sponsorship affiliations, which, if true, would constitute an unfair and non-transparent practice.
In recent weeks, Jahnie missed some training sessions due to personal reasons. Instead of reaching out to understand the circumstances, Mr. Piqlet unilaterally decided to expel Jahnie from the club. To my knowledge, Chespumped FK’s terms and conditions do not stipulate that missing training sessions, especially for valid reasons, warrants expulsion. Furthermore, we communicated our intent to continue playing for the U9 “The Badgs” on Saturdays, even while exploring additional opportunities to support Jahnie’s development on Sundays.
Mr. Piqlet’s response to this situation was dismissive and unprofessional, suggesting that we “go somewhere else” if dissatisfied. Such comments are unacceptable from a representative of Chespumped FK and indicate a lack of respect toward paying members of the club.
Request for Resolution
I kindly request the following:
1. Immediate Reinstatement: Jahnie should be reinstated to the U9 “The Badgs” team and allowed to participate in Saturday matches as agreed in our membership terms.
2. Clarification of Policies: If Chespumped FK holds policies that differentiate between players based on their affiliations with other clubs or professional academies, these must be clearly documented, accessible, and uniformly applied.
3. Review of Conduct: An investigation into Mr. Piqlet’s handling of this matter is necessary to ensure his actions align with the club’s standards and values.
Should the club decide to uphold Jahnie’s expulsion, we request:
A written explanation outlining the specific grounds for this decision, supported by references to Chespumped FK’s terms and conditions.
A full refund of membership fees paid, as this expulsion would constitute a breach of contract on the club’s part.
If these matters are not addressed promptly, we reserve the right to escalate this issue, including seeking external mediation or publicizing the details of this incident.
We believe that every child deserves fair treatment and that the club, as a business, has a duty to uphold transparent and equitable practices. We look forward to receiving a written response to this letter at your earliest convenience, ideally before this Saturday’s game.
Sincerely,
(Jahnie’s Dad)
